Invisalign® is a great alternative to metal braces for many patients, especially those seeking a more discreet and flexible option. The clear aligners are nearly invisible, removable for eating and cleaning, and generally more comfortable since they don’t involve brackets or wires. That said, metal braces may be better for complex alignment issues. During your consultation, we’ll help determine whether Invisalign® is a good option for you.

Invisalign® at Dove Dental Group
If you have always wanted straighter teeth and a better smile without the metal brackets and wires attached, Invisalign® clear braces may be an excellent option. Invisalign® aligners are clear, removable plastic trays that are worn 22 hours daily and move your teeth like traditional braces do. They are covered by many insurance plans, and you can floss and brush without having to worry about getting around and under the wires and brackets of traditional braces. The Invisalign® system is used to treat 2.6 million patients every year and has become the invisible way to make your smile straight.

Process of Invisalign® Treatment
1. Your First Appointment: At your first visit, measurements, photos and an evaluation of your smile and bite will be taken and sent to the Invisalign® labs for a virtual 3D model to be made.
2. 3D Simulation: Once the virtual 3D simulation is created, you will return to the office to see the results you can achieve by choosing Invisalign® clear braces. Then, a custom treatment plan will be presented. You will be able to see exactly how your teeth are going to move and what your end smile will look like before you even start!
3. Aligners: Next, you will receive your first set of Invisalign® clear aligners. These trays will be worn and changed every 7–14 days. Be sure to wear them 20–22 hours per day so the aligners can move your teeth correctly.
4. Progress: Each time you move to the next set of aligners in the series, you’ll see that your teeth are getting closer to your ideal smile week after week.
5. Maintenance: At the end of treatment, you’ll need a set of retainers. Retainers ensure that you’ll always keep the smile you’ve created with Invisalign®. Retainers are essential because, without them, those teeth may move back.

Payment Options
Despite having several advantages over traditional braces, the cost of an Invisalign® treatment can be comparable. In our office, we believe everyone who needs it should be able to experience the benefits of an Invisalign® treatment—that is why we offer 0% financing.
In addition, many dental insurance plans cover the Invisalign® treatment just as they would other orthodontic treatments, and some may cover up to $3,500 of your treatment cost. If you have a Flex Spending Account (FSA), those funds also may qualify to help you cover the cost of your treatment.
When you come in for your free consultation, we will be happy to discuss what options you have and answer any questions you may have.
